Zero Waste is a movement that brings together municipalities, international organisations and local Zero Waste initiatives and activists to gradually reduce waste to increase sustainability, economic resilience and social cohesion. Zero Waste encourages us to use resources rationally and consciously. The Zero Waste philosophy is very simply represented in the 5R pyramid – Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Sort, Rot.
